I was born in Dunfirmline in the Kingdom of Fife, in Scotland, a small-sized industrial district just north of Edinburgh.

During the long endless days of northern Scottish summer, the humming fans and turbines of the farm I lived on would run throughout the night, keeping barns of barley dry from the summer air. The smells and images, accompanied by the natural and industrialized sounds of wildlife and machines, have combined to create some of my strongest and most cherished memories. Throughout my entire life I have been fascinated with sound and the impact it has on the ability to conjure emotions.

Voices, accents, and natural sounds remind us of far away places, and family and lands we once knew, just as songs and movements speak to moments in time and our connection to others. Within these memories are our stories, our feelings and our emotions, our grasp at life and our limited understanding of what happens next. Moments solidified into experiences and of wonder. The joy and laughter, the dance, the sorrow of loss; these moments make up life as we understand it.

I will attempt to recreate some of these emotions of life through song and sound, and to venture into the unknown that lies ahead.
